Types of Events & Offerings

  • Live Study Sessions

    These two hour study sessions (using the 50:10 pomodoro timer) are silent intended for optimum productivity and focus through virtual “body-doubling”

  • Writing Group

    Offered twice a week, these collaborative 2 hour writing sessions are for those looking to make serious progress on a writing project. We meet as a group at the beginning and end to share our progress and cheer each other on!

  • Monthly Planning

    Driven by the concept that reflection and goal planning should be a fun and communal exercise, our Monthly Planning Sessions are 1-2 hour meetings which begin with a directed reflection and end with goal setting and implementation.

  • Book Club

    Rather than selecting a book assignment, our book club is designed to be flexible and offer a space for book lovers to unite and nerd out over our favorite reads of the month.

  • Sip & Share

    In these member-lead sessions, Accepted Society members will share their research proposals or presenttions. This safe and welcoming academic space allows members to get comfortable with presenting their research and will foster connectins across our community.

  • Accepted Society is an inclusive community for individuals of all identities and while most of our members are students, professors, and independent researchers, we also welcome anyone who loves to learn and is seeking a community of acceptance where they can meet their goals, work on a passion project, share which books they are reading, etc.
