Meet Caitlin Murphy-Hurrell

Graduate Admissions Consultant (Humanities & Law)

Caitlin is a part-time English Literature student at the University of Oxford. She will be continuing at Oxford commencing her Masters in Literature and Arts in October 2023. She hopes to focus her research on Early Modern Literature, in particular, representations of minorities in various forms. Caitlin also works as a Compliance Officer for Google in Dublin and focuses on content safety.

Caitlin obtained her Bachelors of Laws from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and had a B.A. in Politics. Following her undergraduate degrees, she worked in various legal and compliance roles for top corporate companies in South Africa, New Zealand and Ireland.

Caitlin had decided to return to university to pursue her passion for literature and aims to move into academia having worked for 8 years in a corporate environment. She has immense experience in writing various applications and has an eye for detail and storytelling in her writing. She is committed to assisting students in the Humanities and Law faculties and hopes to inspire more people to pursue their academic dreams, even when it is a non-traditional path.
