Meet Alani Antoine-Mitchell

Associate Graduate Admissions Consultant

Alani Antoine-Mitchell is a PhD candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Missouri - Columbia. Alani’s research investigates how plants can sense and take up nutrients from their environment. Using molecular, biochemical, and structural techniques to study her research question, Alani has learned so much about the world around her.

Alani obtained her B.S. in Biology at CUNY - Medgar Evers College after her associates degree. As a first-generation underrepresented college student, Alani understands the importance of having access to the knowledge needed to make decisions in one’s education and career. She committed to being a resource for those who need it through mentorship, leadership, and representation. 

Alani is excited to join the Accepted team where one of the core values is to provide affordable access to information for those in need.
